Use by residents and visitors
What the platform does
- cidades.io organizes hyperlocal search and discovery: businesses, products, services, deals, jobs, vehicles, real estate, attractions, public places, alerts and city content.
- Search, Ask Cid, AI influencers, rankings and recommendations help you find relevant options, but you should confirm details with the responsible business or public body.
- Prices, hours, availability, photos and descriptions may change. The publisher or manager is responsible for the information they provide.
Account, relationship and benefits
- You can sign in with e-mail or WhatsApp code. Some benefits may require verified phone, CPF, in-store document check or regulated campaign rules.
- Following, favoriting, marking yourself as a client or redeeming a coupon creates a relationship with that business. The business may see signals needed for service, benefits, aggregate metrics and client validation.
- Coupons, gifts, discounts and prize campaigns depend on each campaign rules. Regulated promotions are the organizer responsibility, not cidades.io responsibility.
- Personal accounts with no activity for about 12 months may receive a notice; after about 15 months without access they may be deactivated. Reactivation can be done by verifying your identity by e-mail or WhatsApp. This deactivation does not automatically delete data that must be kept for security, transaction history, support, campaigns or legal obligations.
Wishes, quotes, messages and support
- My wishes is a private list for purchase intentions. It only becomes a request to local businesses if you choose to open that wish to offers or quotes.
- Quote requests, messages, applications, bookings and reports must be truthful and sufficient. Spam, harassment, illegal content and false data may be blocked.
- Messages and replies may be automatically moderated for safety, quality and abuse prevention.
Location, Nearby and AR Vision
- Location is optional and powers Nearby, routes, nearby businesses and AR Vision.
- AR Vision uses camera, GPS and sensors to show directional tags. It does not guarantee ARCore/ARKit-level precision and does not replace maps, signage or safe attention.
- Business and coupon QR codes may open profiles, campaigns or redemption screens when available.
Notifications and WhatsApp
- Business notifications in cidades.io are, by default, in-app and push. Business campaigns do not send mass WhatsApp, SMS or e-mail.
- WhatsApp may be used for login, support, city Concierge, billing or transactional communication when the proper basis, template, opt-in and integration exist.
- You can adjust notification preferences in the app or operating system.
Civic content and reports
- Where public modules are active, citizen reports and alerts are routed to configured public bodies. Protected categories may hide identity according to system flow.
- Use these channels responsibly. Urgent situations should be reported to official emergency services.
Conduct and limitations
- Do not use the platform for fraud, spam, discrimination, offensive content, intrusion, abusive scraping or metric manipulation.
- We may remove content, suspend accounts, limit features or preserve records required for audit, security and legal compliance.
- The platform may undergo tests, product changes and temporary downtime.
